The Sims 2 is a 2004 strategic life simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to The Sims. The game has the same concept as its predecessor: players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life.

the game seems incomplete, i dont have any families in any of the towns like the goth family. they arent in the premade sims area either so i dont know what happened

Works great! It should be a required step to change the compatibility settings because these older games won’t work without it. Once that’s squared away this game works wonderfully. Thanks so much!
I had the same problem, when I tried running the game a second time, it did not work. However, I found a solution! I went into properties and ran a troubleshoot compatibilities. I have a Windows 11. You can also just right click ont he sims.exe file and run it there instead of going to properties. When you run it, make sure, towards the end of the diagnostic, to allow the computer to apply recommended compatibility for the Sims 2. Once I did, it worked perfectly!
Im trying to it but when i get to the final step it says it will not work with my version of windows and I dont know what to do next
help it says “please insert the correct DVD-ROM” the second time i play, but the first time was okay:(
its works perfectly, but after i save the game do i need to “run as ” everytime i want to play? because the 2nd time i play, the house i made is on sale and i need to made another family but still cant afford the house

hi, the body shop won’t open for me, i tried the graphics rules maker and directX but still doesn’t work
