FIFA: Road to World Cup 98 (commonly abbreviated to FIFA 98) is an association football video game developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. It was the fifth game in the FIFA series and the second to be in 3D on the 32-bit machines. A number of different players were featured on the cover, including David Beckham in the UK, Roy Lassiter in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, David Ginola on the French cover, Raúl on the Spanish cover, Paolo Maldini on the Italian and Andreas Möller on the German cover. FIFA 98 was the last FIFA game released for the Mega Drive.

  1. I used WIndows 7 64 bits to play the game. When the games display on the field, there will be a lot of green bits randomly distributed on the field. Plus, the sound is choppy audio. Hope you can fix that. That’s will be great

  2. For those wondering why the sound is choppy, I figured I’d do some testing myself with a Windows 98 VM I have. It’s most certainly something on Windows 10’s (or whatever modern version of windows you’re using) end. I sent the files over to my 98 VM and Song 2 played without issue on startup.

  3. Thanks for making this game available. It seems to work, but for me the audio is terrible for some reason. Choppy and distorted. Even after I switch off the music, an awful crackling is still there with each sound effect played. It makes the game unplayable. Any idea how to fix this?

  4. game runs, but its not full screen. is that how it’s supposed to be or can i fix that? really appreciate the effort you guys put in to make these games possible!
